Commercial real estate in Jonesboro has boomed in the last 18 months, with the opening of Turtle Creek Mall in the spring of 2006. The area around the mall is full of new places, including Chili’s, Hardee’s, Andy’s ice cream, Chik-fil-A, and many new businesses on Stadium and Highland. Commercial property values in the area have climbed to an almost unreasonable limit. Very few stretches of land exist at all on Stadium (Highway 49)both South towards Weiner and North towards Paragould. Northeast Arkansas Clinic has announced plans for a new office building on Stadium Drive. Just in the last couple of weeks a tract of land on Highland has been rezoned for the location for a bank building. It’s nice to be able to feel the pulse of excitement in the growth of Jonesboro.
