Today is homecoming in Jonesboro at ASU. Though I am not attending the game, my thoughts are there and I think back to the thrill of my children when the horse would run around the playing field upon ASU scoring a touchdown. Now that the Indians will no longer go by that name, I am sure many of us will always think of them as that gallant “tribe”. I read this morning that 900 names have been submitted for the committee to digest, and I know that they plan to consider carefully the impact on the ASU community and choose wisely.
