    Jonesboro, hub of Northeast Arkansas…. Wow!!  Jonesboro was hopping this weekend. It was a gorgeous autumn day here yesterday, and people were swarming all over Jonesboro. Jonesboro has grown so much lately. Just yesterday Arkansas State University had an afternoon football game (which they won), one of the local churches had their “Fall Festival,” the fairgrounds had a Flea Market going on, and many retail shops began hosting their Holiday parties, offering specials and serving refreshments. I made the mistake of trying to go to our fairly new mall yesterday, thinking everyone would be at the game or the Fall Festival, but when I saw that most of the parking places were taken, I left. It was such a beautiful day that I decided I needed to be outdoors instead of inside a mall, and I should save the mall for a rainy or cold day. I continue to be amazed at how Jonesboro has become THE hub for all of Northeast Arkansas and much of Southeast Missouri. Whereas people used to drive to Memphis to shop, now they come to Jonesboro!!! We Realtors love it……..keep on coming. (Oh, and buy a home here………it’s a great place to live!)
