Ready to cheer, ASU fans? Arkansas State has finally announced its new mascot as the “Wolves.” Possibly the Red Wolves, or just Wolves. Better than Ridge Runner or Engine or Express, or whatever it was. Anyway, the Indians will soon be a part of the history of ASU as the Wolves take over. Now the NCAA will be happy, and I’m happy, too, as I wouldn’t want to be politically incorrect. Will the wolves complain? I suppose some people can hear them howling if they try hard enough. Lets make the Wolves proud, ASU. Lets embrace our new name with enthusiasm and excitement as we enter a new phase in our sports history. mkm
