Jonesboro’s employment numbers are good, despite rising fuel prices and grocery prices across the U.S. Unemployment in Craighead County fell from 4.7 % in March to 4.1 % in April. Jobs here are diverse, ranging from manufacturing to agriculture to medical opportunities, and incude retail jobs, food service jobs, and construction. Unemployment numbers as a whole in Arkansas fell to 4.7 % in April, the lowest it has been since July 2001, according to the Department of Workforce Services. Great news for Craighead County! mkm
