As a Jonesboro Realtor, I always encourage clients to KEEP UP THEIR TERMITE CONTRACTS! I know it seems like a good deal of money to pay for the contract, but it’s sort of like insurance against termites. And whenever you sell your house or business, you must have a letter of clearance from a termite company at closing. We have just sold a lovely home that luckily had a termite contract on it, because when it was inspected by the termite company for closing, the house had termites! The seller doesn’t have to worry because now the termite company is responsible for repairing the damage to the house, which will cost a considerable amount of money. However, had the seller not had a contract in place and termites had been found, the seller would have been responsible for all the repairs. So, please make sure your home is covered by a termite contract and renew it every year. And read the fine print on the contract to be sure the company will repair all damage done while the company has it under contract. You will save money in the long run. mkm
