The unemployment rate in Arkansas fell, so the latest figures show, to 4.5% in July, well below the national average of 5.7%. These figures are from the Department of Workforce Services. Arkansas has about 21,000 more people working that it had a year ago. This is great news for Arkansas!! Keep it up.  mkm

Is Your Agent Ethical??

I hate to make comments about my Realtor family, but recently I’ve witnessed a couple of incidents which cause me to feel sick. I guess I’m just different. I was raised with a conscience, and I like to sleep at night. Being a real estate agent isn’t always about money. It’s about providing a service. […]

As a Jonesboro Realtor, I always encourage clients to KEEP UP THEIR TERMITE CONTRACTS! I know it seems like a good deal of money to pay for the contract, but it’s sort of like insurance against termites. And whenever you sell your house or business, you must have a letter of clearance from a termite […]

My Time Is Your Time

As a Jonesboro Realtor, my time is important, but I realize that yours is, too. That is why I work on a whole Team of Realtors, The Marcom Team at RE/MAX, so that one of us is always available to help you. If you call one of us and want your house listed TODAY, one […]

After the hour was over at Brenda’s open house, she called me to report that the only people interested were working with Cheryl Kelton of […]

You Never Know!

I have been in touch with the Red Cross since a young friend, Lisa Trice, was stricken with brain cancer and needed platelets. I have become aware of the shortage of platelets and blood in Arkansas and last week was confronted with a scenario I hadn’t even thought about. My husband, during surgery, was given […]

John of the Marcom Team had complicated spinal and cervical surgery last week.  Our family feels so loved and supported by the meals, cards, flowers, visits, and most of all the prayers offered for his recovery. What it has also brought to my mind are the many people who care for their ill family members […]

Jonesboro residents have never been timid about holding back with opinions and the latest “have you heard”. The internet has its Snopes.com to check out the information sent out about viruses, etc. But where is the check for citizens just sitting around the coffee tables sounding as if they know the inside, whether it’s a company going […]

Jonesboro’s pole vault Olympic hopeful Katie Stripling should be very proud to have made it to the Olympic trials this past week. Though Katie will not be going to the Olympics she was in contention for a spot and had the experience of being in the trials. Katie is a relative newcomer to this sport […]
