Mary Kathryn Marcom |
Sales Associate |
|
Mary Kathryn graduated from Hutchison School, Memphis, and received her Bachelor's degree in social work from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She moved to Denver to attend seminary at Illiff School of Theology, yet was unable to finish her Master’s degree because of illness. Mary Kathryn has had chronic kidney failure since 1989 and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, spending six years in a motorized wheelchair before walking again. Her experience with her own disability helps her to find houses for others who have special needs such as roll-in showers and ramps.
Mary Kathryn is active in First United Methodist Church; she led a ChristCare Caregiver’s Group for 3 ½ years and served on the Administrative Board for three years. She is an active member of Chapter AJ of PEO and is a long-time friend of Bill W. and Lois W. She attends a weekly writer’s support group, a book club, and has two dogs. She also actively supports the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
Mary Kathryn became a Realtor in January 2003 and works with her parents, John and Mary Lee, as a member of The Marcom Team. She does much of the computer work and advertising for the Team in addition to showing houses and commercial properties. The Marcom Team achieved the Arkansas Realtors Association Award of Excellence at the Diamond Level for 2005. The Marcom Team is proud to be a member of Number 1 Expert.

Shelley |
Mascot |
 |
Shelley is very proud to be the mascot for The Marcom Team. Shelley is a 2 ½ year old Newfoundland, one of four dogs owned by the Marcoms. She is well-socialized, well-behaved, and adores children. She also loves to be photographed. She enjoys air conditioning and ice water during the hot, humid summer days in Arkansas, and runs with Sarah, the golden retriever, during the cooler winter months.
And of course she stays in the house most of the time, which explains her love for the housing market. She wants everyone to have the perfect home!
